Molesey Library now open
Molesey Library re-opened on Wednesday 8 October.
During the closure of Molesey library the following works were undertaken to ensure the building is safe for all to use:
- A full structural survey
- External Roof - fascia and soffits outside of the main entrance were replaced. High level repairs to the roof that was causing water to enter building have been completed
- Balcony – immediate necessary repairs were completed. The hoarding remains in place temporarily
- Internal ceiling - repairs are being completed due to damage caused in staff areas by the roof’s water leaks. Checks have been carried out to ensure the building is watertight following repairs.

The Friends are a group of people who have volunteered to help raise funds for specific projects that will enrich the library and surrounding community. We also organise regular author talks.
