Course intent

Develop your creativity, communication, and maths skills to contribute to the planning of mini enterprise projects. Make a variety of items, to sell to raise money for your chosen charities.

What will we cover?

During this course, you will have the opportunity to:

Plan, design, and create a variety of mosaic projects

Use, clean, and store tools and equipment safely

Show initiative by making choices, using judgment, and solving problems

Reflect on and evaluate your work when completing projects

Increase your sense of achievement and confidence through the creative process

Explore and experiment with new materials and equipment

Participate in group activities, demonstrating teamwork and building positive relationships

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This course is for Entry Level learners with a learning disability, it is designed to help learners progress from their individual starting point to build confidence, independence, and social skills for everyday life.

This course is suited to learners who have an interest in history and discovering information.

You will need to have some basic literacy and numeracy skills, for example be able to recognise/write some words and ideally read simple sentences.

You must be able to follow instructions, guidance on health and safety and be ready to work as part of a group

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

Bring a pen and reading glasses if you use them.

What can I do when I finish the course?

After this course you could progress to another supported learning course, or further courses with ÖйúPÕ¾ Adult Learning. We will meet with you to give information, advice, and guidance on your next step.
