Course intent
To build on the skills gained in our Introduction course. You will develop a consistent social media strategy, create more advanced content, and begin to measure success using social media tools and analytics.
What will I learn?
You will:
- Set SMART goals and build a simple social media strategy
- Develop content pillars and create a 1-month plan
- Explore branding, tone of voice, and storytelling
- Use tools like Canva, ChatGPT or Hootsuite for content creation and planning
- Learn how to engage with audiences and build online communities
- Understand how to read insights and analytics to adjust your content
- Create and present a short content campaign plan
- Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values

This course is for
- Intermediate level social media skills who want to grow their skills further
- Learners who have completed our Social Media for Business Use Introduction (online) (HTP)
- Sole traders, small business owners, side hustlers.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
To fully participate in this course, you will need:
An email address
- A reliable internet connection
- A computer/laptop /tablet with a fully updated browser
- A working microphone and webcam.
- Have details of at least one contact (family member or friend) who already uses social media.
Once enrolled on this course you will receive detailed instructions for taking part online
If you struggle to read printed text on a screen, you may find it beneficial to have access to a printer to make your own hard copies of resources.
What can I do when I finish the course?

This course does not qualify for an Education and Skills Funding Agency subsidy, so no concessions are available.
