During this course, you will have the opportunity to:

Gain valuable work experience through a voluntary placement.

Experience a formal job interview.

Develop your Literacy and Numeracy skills.

Enhance your decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.

Collaborate and work well with others in team settings.

Manage relationships effectively in both professional and personal contexts.

Develop presentation and self-promotion skills.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This course is designed for Entry Level learners with a learning disability. It aims to help learners progress from their individual starting points, building confidence, independence, and social skills for everyday life.

Before enrolling, you will need to complete a literacy and numeracy initial assessment.

You must be able to follow health and safety guidance and be reliable and ready to work as part of a group.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

Bring a pen and reading glasses if you use them.

What can I do when I finish the course?

After this course you could progress to volunteer work or another supported learning course, or further courses with ÖйúPÕ¾ Adult Learning. We will meet with you to give information, advice, and guidance on your next step.

Additional information

Bring a drink or money to buy refreshments during a short break.

Carers and/or family members supporting in the class will be required to follow our guidelines and acknowledge they have read our Personal Assistant Agreement.
