Course intent

Express your creativity and learn a variety of art and craft techniques, and how to use recycled materials and equipment safely, whilst working on individual and group projects.

What will we cover?

During this course, you will have the opportunity to:

Plan and prepare your own art and craft projects.

Research, make choices, and complete both personal and group projects.

Explore art and craft from different cultures.

Try new techniques to create art or craft.

Use tools and equipment safely.

Work together with other learners and contribute to team projects.

Reflect on and evaluate your own work.

Build confidence and social skills by taking part in group discussions and activities.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This course is for Entry Level learners with a learning disability, it is designed to help learners progress from their individual starting point to build confidence, independence, and social skills for everyday life.

You need to be able to follow guidance on health and safety and be ready to work as part of a group.

You need to be able to use pens, paintbrushes, and other equipment with or without support and be willing to get your hands dirty or wear gloves.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

Please bring an apron, overall or shirt to wear to help avoid clothing getting dirty.

Bring a pen and reading glasses if you use them.

What can I do when I finish the course?

After this course you could progress to another supported learning course, or further courses with ÖйúPÕ¾ Adult Learning. We will meet with you to give information, advice and guidance on your next step
