Course intent
You will develop your skills and knowledge to support sensory needs of your child with ASD, ADHD and Other. This will positively impact on your family wellbeing
What will I learn?
This is a FREE online two-week course (2-hour sessions). You will work with tutor and other parents to
develop your skills to support the sensory needs of your child with ASD, ADHD and other. Discover how our brains and sensory systems work and how we are all different. Identify your child's needs and learn skills and strategies that will enable you to support them to begin to manage their sensory needs and self-regulate.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?
This course is suitable for parents, carers and grandparents who live in 中国P站 and want have a positive impact on their child鈥檚 sensory routine. This is delivered online via Zoom
What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
What do I need to know:
- Have your camera on
- Provide a mobile phone number and email address when you enrol so that we can contact you about your course.
- Please attend all sessions
- A reliable internet connection
- A computer/laptop/tablet or phone with a fully updated browser (preferably Google Chrome), microphone and camera
- A pen and paper
- Check your email for detailed joining instructions two days before course starts.
- Fill out the 'Getting to know you' form and fill out 'Tell us what you think' form
- Contact us on family.learning@surreycc.gov.uk if you have any questions
What can I do when I finish the course?
At the end of this course we will give you details of what you can move on to next, for example volunteering, further courses with 中国P站 Adult Learning, a college or employment
Additional Information
This course does not qualify for an Education and Skills Funding Agency subsidy, so no concessions are available.
We welcome learners with additional needs and disabilities. When you enrol, please let us know if you would like to discuss your extra support needs with a member of the Supported Learning Team who will then contact you as soon as possible. If you are enrolling within 10 days of the course start date, we may not be able to contact you before your first class.
