What will I learn?
In this captivating online lecture, we鈥檒l uncover the fascinating and often overlooked life of Augusta - a royal figure whose legacy is now largely forgotten, but whose story is rich with drama, history, and royal connections.
In 1818, at just twenty years old, Princess Augusta of Hesse-Cassel married Adolphus, Duke of Cambridge, the seventh son of King George III.
When she passed away in 1889, Queen Victoria described her as 'the last one gone who had the right to call me Victoria,' highlighting the deep historical connection between them.
