Course intent

Fermented drinks are a delightful way to enjoy a daily dose of healthy, living bacteria, supporting overall wellness naturally.

What will I learn?

You will create simple, nourishing fermented drinks infused with fruits, herbs and spices.

• Ukrainian Beetroot Kavas
• Ginger Bug
• Pineapple Tepache

  Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

  The workshop welcomes everyone.

We ask learners to supply:

• 3 x 500ml glass screw top or flip top glass bottles
• Washed & dried pre-used bottles are fine

  What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

  Please ensure you have completed the following before the first session:

• You will be emailed a workbook. It will outline the ingredients & resources you need to bring and those that will be supplied.
• Inform adultlearning@surreycc.gov.uk if you need any adaptations to the recipes.

  We welcome learners with additional needs and disabilities. When you enrol, please let us know if you would like to discuss your extra support needs with a member of the Supported Learning Team who will then contact you as soon as possible. If you are enrolling within 10 days of the course start date, we may not be able to contact you before your first class.
