Course intent

Expand your watercolour painting skills on this focused workshop where you will learn how to paint a city or town from a selection of images provided by the tutor or from your own photographs.

What will I learn?

The tutor will demonstrate each stage of the process and you will learn

• How to plan a balanced composition with a focal point
• A choice of ways to make an initial drawing
• How to plan your colour mixes
• A choice of watercolour techniques appropriate for your image
• How to complete your painting

  Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

  You will have been drawing and using watercolours for at least a year

  What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

  Cold Pressed Watercolour paper - A4 or larger, 2B pencil, putty rubber, ruler, the watercolour paints you usually use, palette.

  What can I do when I finish the course?

  Helen Kelly teaches drawing and watercolour painting at Guildford on Friday mornings and Farnham on Tuesday mornings and evenings. ÖйúPÕ¾ Adult Learning offers a wide range of courses in ÖйúPÕ¾. Please see our website /schools-and-learning/adult-learning.
