Course intent

Learn how to create stunning festive flower arrangements using seasonal materials. In this hands-on workshop, you will gain the skills to design beautiful floral displays that add a seasonal touch to your home, whether for the festive period or simply to brighten up your decor.

What will I learn?

You will learn:

• Flower Selection: Create seasonal flower arrangements using a variety of seasonal flowers and foliage.
• Design Techniques: Create a balanced and visually appealing arrangement that will last through the colder months.
• Maintenance: Gain practical tips for maintaining the freshness of your arrangement, ensuring it stays vibrant and beautiful for as long as possible.
• Health & Safety: Health & Safety: Proper handling and maintenance of tools to prevent injury in a safe working environment.

  Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

  You will learn:

  What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

  You need to bring:

• A notebook and pen
• Scissors
• A bucket for flowers
• A plastic sheet or cloth to work on
• A small knife
• An apron and closed toe shoes
• Flowers and foliage

The fee does not cover the cost of materials. A list of materials (including flowers and foliage) will be sent out prior to the start date.

What can I do when I finish the course?

In discussion with your tutor, you may like to progress onto Flower Arranging - Stage 1 or other Arts & Crafts courses at SAL.

If you are enrolling within 10 days of the course start date, we may not be able to contact you before your first class.
