Course intent
This course will build on your woodwork skills by learning about common UK timber types and their uses, as well as basic finishes like stain, oil, and varnish. You’ll create more detailed designs, document materials and costs, and develop safe, confident use of hand and machine tools. The focus is on accurate craftsmanship, good finishing techniques, and reflective practice, helping you produce well-made woodwork projects while following health and safety guidelines.
